Baltimore's 2010 census population is 620,961. D.C.'s 2010 census population is 601,723. I think D.C. will definitely pass Baltimore by 2015 now!

The DMV metropolitan population is way higher than the council of governments predicted.

Baltimore City as of November 2010:

2010 = 644,850
2015 = 660,250
2020 = 670,950
2025 = 677,850
2030 = 682,950
2035 = 687,500
2040 = 690,950

Again, they all use the same formulas so you can take that up with them since you went to school for population forecasting. I was just relaying the message.

D.C. actually has a housing condo/apartment housing shortage. The projections for D.C. is as follows for November 2010:

D.C. as of November 2010:

2010 = 605,500
2015 = 651,500
2020 = 669,800
2025 = 693,800
2030 = 711,900
2035 = 730,400
2040 = 760,500

D.C.'s height restrictions don't hurt D.C. because D.C. just extends it's downtown even more. A city of 8-12 story buildings everywhere is way more people than a city of row homes. Especially when half of those row homes are empty and will remain empty for the foreseeable future. Do you live in D.C.? If so, you should get out more and look around you. Buildings are going up everywhere.
We likely already passed the 2015 numbers. DC is highly likely to pass the 2020 number by 2015 using current growth rates, I am not going to project beyond that, since DC is growing MUCH faster than these numbers.

its funny reading about people's posts from 2011 saying it wouldn't be until 2020 until we passed Baltimore in terms of populations. According to Wikipedia DC passed Baltimore in population back in 2012
