That is the worst. Nothing like trudging 5 or 6 blocks through 95 degree humidity, with your shirt clinging to you like a wet dishrag, and then boarding a Metro train with 80 other hot, sweaty people and having NO A/C.

This summer is going to suck I can already tell. It shouldn't be 105F in June.

The weather in DC is atrocious. Lived in the area for a year.. maybe it was just an anomolous year but it rained almost every single day of May and was unseasonably cold. Then you had wild swings in temperature where one day it would be 80 degrees and the next day 45 degrees. It seemed like it would rain every weekend or any weekend you planned a trip to the beach or mountains. DC weather is like a person with bi-polar disorder: wild mood swings and unpredictable. Glad I do not live there anymore.

Where do you live now? I find the weather to be almost ideal: 6 weeks of winter, 6 weeks of summer, 9 months spring and fall.

Weather in DC is beautiful. Some of the best in the US IMO. It's freaking beautiful outside today in early June.

Ohhhhhh those atrocious heat waves!!!!

And the whole Eastern/ Mid Atlantic has bi-polarity when it comes to weather nothing unique here.

DC also on a percentage basis probably is one of the least "super natural disater" prone places of the continental U.S. Yes it is possible to get a tornado, hurricane, or even yes earthquake like most places on Earth. Yet the region in and around DC specifically on percentage don't get nearly the threat that other parts of the country get with regards to those drastic weather events. Also no mudslides or wildfires really at all.

Where was it 105? Phoenix? DC can get uncomfortably hot and humid in July and August. July is the hottest to me. August at least starts to show that summer is winding down and you will have your heat but it becomes less intense as September approaches. I actually find D.C. Weather better than most locations. Wish it was more snow tho.
