Who else is sick of DC's nasty weather. It's almost April and it still feels like winter! It seems like we only get 5 months of weather that's not considered cold. May - September. And in the 5 months when the weather isn't cold 3 of the 5 months are brutally hot!

If it wasn't for jobs I'd get the heck out of this nasty weather place! Outside of weather I do love DC and all the things that it has to offer. Misery loves company so who else feels this way?

Patience. At least we have pretty flowers in the trees to look at. After this weekend the weather should start getting better.

However I am inclined to agree about the weather. Coming from Georgia I'm used to hot weather but was hoping to escape the heat with a move north. Ha! Here you still get hot summers but you also get really long cold winters. Can't win.

People from the South think we have cold weather. People from the North think we have hot weather.

This is a really cold late March. Temperatures are not usually this cold at this point and winter rarely lasts this long.

Anyway, I totally disagree with OP. March is usually a nice month to go outside and October into early November is the absolute best weather this area gets.

Heating degree days, the measurement used to assess how cold or warm a period was record 594 HDD for this March versus a 30 year normal of 563. So March has been about 5% colder than normal.

It's miserable. But I bought some new coats, and it's serving me nicely here in this miserable weather. At least that's a positive turn around.

I used to live in Chicago. And DC has many more months of nice weather, by comparison. This spring has indeed been cold but normally by this time the weather is a good deal warmer.

I'm not complaining. This weekend's cherry blossom festival might be a dud though.
