DC and the surrounding suburbs are not know for being cheap. Unless you're coming this week (tax free) you might want to wait until you are home to do the shopping.

Hit the outlet malls.................

Arrundel/Potomac Mills/ or Hagertown Outlet Malls, and some shops south of Tyson Corners...I forget the name but everybody goes there...
