How is that having an "entitlement" mentality??? I wouldn't want a cop pulling a gun on me for no reason either. Especially one that hadn't id'ed himself as one too.
And I would take aggressive nature of the (mostly) white crowd here, than the aggressive nature of the (mostly) black community who contribute to the vast majority of crime in this city. I would rather have a snowball thrown at me than a beer bottle or bullets than the hoodrats like to sling around here. But I'm pretty sure you will see snow as something for only rich white folks.
And btw this video is pretty old. Why is this news now?
There seems to be a mentality in this video of "we're taking over this neighborhood and we won't take any guff from a black cop!". The crowd is aggressive and seemed to be looking for trouble, even after the cops are walking away.
As for it being old news, this is the first time I've seen it, so it's new to me.
Seemed like a bunch of manufactured drama by a bunch of wanna-be hipsters who've watched too many reality TV shows. Either that or they thought the DC police would treat them the same way as campus police under instructions to treat college students with kid gloves. I hope they don't ever find themselves in a situation where they need the police to help them out.
No, the entitlement mentality is "I've never bothered to build up equity in the property I've rented for the past twenty years and now I want my rent to stay the same as it was in 1993!"

And I'm sure these hipsters will riot on the streets right? Destroy their own neighborhoods and attack officers. Oh wait, thats the hoodrats job every time something goes wrong...
