Hello:

I have to mail some stuff later. I won't be done until this evening. Are any post offices open late on the weekend. Back home, the airport post office stayed open until like 11 on Sat. and 8 on Sun. It had been 24-hrs, seven days a week at one point. This includes the entire DC metro area. Thanks.

Also, where do you get something notarized at late on the weekend?

Merrifield is one of the larger regional post offices but it has its last collection at 5 pm.

MERRIFIELD Post Office™ Location

As for a notary -- that's a bit tough. Perhaps at a bank, but I think the latest they are open on a Saturday is about 2 p.m.

I have no idea. I know Merrifield is the main distribution point for the entire metro DC region so they have constant mail runs out to Dulles.

ETA: Just Googled and all the post office facilities located in Dulles, VA close at 2 p.m. on Saturdays (if they are open at all).

ETA2: According to iFly there is a notary at Dulles open until 9 p.m. daily. You may want to call first. Tel: (703) 572-2946

I don't know if it still is, but I used to go to the one at National Airport for after hours.
