Hello,

I finally signed a short-term lease and the place is located on the border of Chevy Chase and Bethesda--about a 10-minute walk to the Bethesda metro.

For those who are familiar, do any places in the area stick out? I know I'll walk around myself and get acquainted, but I just wondered if there were any places I should definitely check out in the area.

Suggestions are most appreciated.

Watch out for missing manhole covers--walk around them.

Stick out in what sense? Crime? Construction? Restaurants?

I apologize for not being clear--I meant restaurants and/or hangouts. Even though I have only been there a couple of times, it feels a bit on the "suburban" side. I thought maybe there would be a couple of places that would have stuck out.

Anyway, thanks.
