More specifically around P and O street. Is it safe to walk around during the day?

It's tricky. West of NJ Ave is a little hood. East of the Ave is definitely hood. I think it's safe to walk around during the day, though.

Some absolutely gorgeous homes along New Jersey. The neighborhood is rather dumpy, but the residential arechitecture is awesome.

A murder, an assault with a deadly weapon, a few muggings, a few break-ins and one grand theft auto. That's the last 6 months.

99% of the time, you'll be safe walking around during the day; but the 1400 block of NJ is not great.
