It's the equivalent of the kid who studied real hard, busted his butt in school and got the best grades he could, while other kids were out partying and goofing off. Now that that same kid is older and has a good job, the other kids don't and are cyring UNFAIR!

Sorry people. You reap what you sow.

So you are saying that the gilded D.C. economy is a result of hard-working, intelligent people being better than the rest of America, which is in a recession because Americans (other than D.C. folk) wasted their time partying hard and goofing off.

...and the feds wonder why the rest of the country is angry at them!

We need to slash defense spending sharply and then you will get your desired result of putting a lot of DC area residents out of work.

As a Republican, you OK with that?

Republican and Democrat are just fashion labels. At the end of the day it's all about money and how to milk the teat.

We need to grow the federal government by a factor of ten so that every American has a job and America is completely bankrupt like Greece.

As a democrat, you OK with that?

Or atleast lowering the salaries to be commensurate with the work. Making 80k as a glorified secritary in the DoD ain't right. Salaries in DC should be cut by atleast 1/3. There are not that many specialized skill sets in DC.

It is no coincidence that the D.C. area has the most highly educated workforce in the U.S.

Contrary to what some may believe, all those federal workers in well-paid jobs didn't get there by accident.

If by some you mean 90% of Americans.

When will brilliant Federal workers enact policy that brings down unemployment to, say, 6%?

When will the geniuses figure a way out of useless wars and trillions in debt?

America awaits the actions of the incredible mental giants in the gubment.

Yea, free-market dynamics all the way!

Lower that DoD Top Secret accessing secretary's salary to 55K and she will go where the money is - North Korea, China, Russia, etc.
