Seems you got caught up in their $$$$cheme.
LOL DC's budget is about $11 billion per year. $55m is 0.5% of that. Yeah, were just getting rich off you dumb nonresidents who insist on speeding on our streets.

Oh, brother. You really missed the point. Right over your head it went.

Expanding the traffic camera system is about generating revenue first, safety second. But yet the City believes that some of us are too stupid to recognize that. (Well, judging from your post, at least one DC resident IS too stupid to recognize that.)

Well if you want to be factually correct the real figure is actually $92.6 million as of last year.

The cost of gasoline may be gnawing a hole in many wallets, but the cost of going nowhere in the District cost people who failed to mind the parking meter a record $92.6 million last year.

That amount for fiscal 2011 was more than $12 million higher than the previous year, according to data that the American Automobile Association obtained under a Freedom of Information Act request.

Just keep paying the fines and telling us how backward we are in the District. More speed cameras going in this year.

You might ask your teacher about the difference between a parking ticket and a speeding ticket.

What difference does it make, your claim that this is some how driven by safety and not because of revenue is ridiculous. That was the point that was being made. Every time there is a thread about this topic, you seem to be the first one who decide to argue for DC. Is that you Mayor Gray?

The point is that 0.5% of the budget is chickenfeed.

Keep paying those fines. Keep complaining about the motivation. We think you're cute when all flustered and with your panties in a wad.

Thank You! Your actions undoubtedly will improve both the District and PG County.

Well just parts of MD. The only way DC would improve is if they got rid of you.
