The Nats have a 87.3 chance of making the playoffs.

I'd be disappointed if it sells out -- right now, it's an entertainment bargain, with readily available game-day tickets available for less than a movie ticket, and constant sales of some sort. (I have two coupons and four free tickets sitting on my desk.) Having 40% more people at each game will ensure lots of customers for the dozen new restaurants slated to open around the Yards over the next few months.

(Had three of the first four Bluejacket beers at ChurchKey last weekend. Can't wait to raise a glass at their one-of-a-kind space next year.)

Yep -- although it takes a lot of vision to see a soccer stadium here, it'll be even closer to where I live:

well one month later, I guess we can say it is a sure thing at this point plus Strasburg gone but not forgotten

DC United would better off in building a soccer stadium in Reston/Herndon/Loudon county.

LOL haters are always wrong. Braves are now 7.5 game back. If not the division title there's always the wild card.

They prefer an urban setting with ample rapid transit options. That's why they want to be in DC.

I was in Philly Labor Day weekend, on the way out we drove past the 76ers Arena/Citizens Bank Park/Lincoln Financial Field. All basically within half a mile of one another. In fact I think the Linc and Citizens Bank Park are across the street from each other.

This is something DC needs to do. SW/SE is a perfect spot for them. I mean Nats Park, you could argue, sits on the water. United's stadium can be the same thing, put up a row of bars and restaurants (that aren't tapas), and you have a money maker.

As for the Nats themselves, unless they suffer a collapse of monumental proportions, this team will make the playoffs.

Going to a Phillies game during the day, and then an Eagles game at night and using the same tailgating location all day is pretty awesome.

I think you might be running out of room down by Nat's stadium though. There is a lot more going on in the blocks surrounding Citizens Bank Park South than Citizens Bank Park.

Plenty of seats were open on Wednesday night -- despite a near-shutout with five home team home runs (and one by a Cub in the 9th).

Make sure you claim your free (!) birthday ticket this month!
