Trying to find out where would be the best place to live with a 30lb dog and cats in DC? Price will be good. I'll probably need two bedroom.

Somewhere, not too shady. Little shady is ok.

A 2 br in a not dangerous neighborhood in DC will be at least 2000 a month. Any place that allows dogs and cats will likely be well over that minimum. Are you prepared to spend that much?
