San Diego and then the Bay Area. Couldn't be happier. I'm only ever back in DC to visit my family- usually during the summer because DC sucks in the dead of winter.

No. You're not a son. you're a kid. You complaint WAY too much to ever had a hard life. But I'm not saying anybody else is exempt in this on this thread. Most people don't know what hungry feels like, what a hopeless feels like, and what cluster**** feels like. Because, you don't get wise, until you actually get yourself out of hell once or twice to not complaint about BS like living a good life, which this forum is all about. First World Problem.
I see -- I said I didn't leave DC until I was 18, not that I am currently 18 -- realize, you have no idea how old I am or where I am from in DC.
I doubt you would be able to make said comments in my "first world" DC neighborhood -- if you've ever even been in that part of the city before that is. Where do you live in DC currently?

blah blah blah. I don't think you see anything.
What do you do, and how do you make your money now.
Good luck with your TLC show in the future. They basically hire anybody.

Winter can be a little boring around here outside of holidays IMO but I'm a little surprised that you as a West Coaster would visit DC during the summer, knowing how humid it can be on some days. I would normally recommend visitors and out-of-towners to come to DC during the spring, early summer, and autumn where they can enjoy the beauty and energy of DC more comfortably during mild and/or decent weather conditions.
Allergies. Spring and Fall are terrible for me, and I can tolerate hot/humid better than bitter cold. If I want to deal with cold, I can drive to Tahoe and make use of the snow.

Oh okay. I bet Tahoe receives heavier amounts of snow than the DC area don't it?
I like "weather" climate of this area actually and the east coast in general but the older I get the more I realize that this area feeds almost entirely off of taxpayer money which is fine but some people carry an aura about them that their ish don't stink. I still live in this area but am considering moving away because it just doesn't feel the same as when I grew up here in the 80s. It's stuffier here now. It's getting more and more crowded and expensive and I don't like that combination too much.

Just a bit
The nice thing about Tahoe is that I can make use of the snow on the slopes and it's a conscious choice to go there, instead of being snowed in at random times and not being very close to quality skiing in the DC area.
