Hello all,

I will be starting work at GWU medical center soon and am looking for an apartment (1 br) close by (Foggy Bottom for example).

I am looking for a (relatively) quiet place (not rampaged by students) with a decent fitness center and am looking to try and keep it ~1500/month. This may be wishful thinking. I am not sure yet whether I will have my car or not because I will have to venture to MD a few times every month.

Additionally, I am a single male in his late 20's with an income of about 58,000/year

Any suggestions would really help me out!

Foggy Bottom may be tough on the budget/salary, thankfully there is the metro, so you have other options.
Also the closer you live to downtown, the more difficult it will be to keep your car.

The older buildings are cheaper, seen some for $1100 to $1500.
Gotta drop the other fancy amenities though, tough ****.

A couple of those older buildings are known to have bed bug infestations.

Perhaps, I know the Woodner on 16th street
has had some issues with that.

Speaking of the Woodner, I love that building..... Must be cool to have a bar inside of the building and a bodega.

Yup the woodner. One other one too, but I forgot it. I forgot to mention the cockroaches. I am so glad I no longer rent anymore.
