Can anyone provide any information on the Blair Shelter on 6th & I Street, NE? Are there any plans to develop that property? Thanks!

I've been in that building about 100 times until I transferred to another fire house. Is it not being used anymore?

I understand it is currently a shelter for men. Considering the Apollo development on the 600 block of h st, it seems unlikely it would remain as such. The possibility of residential development is high.

I don't think that will matter. 425 2nd St NW and 65 Massachusetts Ave are also in prime spots downtown. 425 2nd St is the biggest homeless shelter on the east coast and 65 Mass Ave is right by Union Station. Those spots are much better than where the Blair House is.
