My boyfriend and I will be in DC for Thanksgiving through the weekend (both 40 somethings). We are looking for someplace to have Thanksgiving dinner but more of a low key thing, rather than the full holiday dinner experience.
We are arriving on Wed afternoon, so we won't have much time to scout out a location in advance.
We will be staying near the Navy Yard but are certainly willing to take the Metro to other areas, as we believe the Navy Yard area is lacking in dining options.
The Hamilton. It's a Clyde's Group restaurant. We went there last Thanksgiving because we were only back in town for a few days, and didn't want to cook for just the two of us. You won't be disappointed.
I agree with the recommendations for Clyde's, did that one year and was very good. Another suggestion is Founding Farmers. Book early though as they will fill up fast.
Clydes tend to have a pretty good Thanksgiving dinner. Plus the atmosphere is amazing, with professional server's and bartenders.
