So, how many played? According to the data that I saw, 80% of the numbers were picked and purchased.

I really just want to gather some data.

Probably best to post in the Current Events forum, as the Powerball was certainly not DC-specific.

I played and got three numbers; thus winning $7. Add that to the $4 I won on Wed (powerball plus one number) and I'm doing great! YEA!!!!

So you made $11 on a $4 investment--pretty good!

IMHO, no one needs to win nearly a billion. They should split it up so that hundreds of people win $500K each--enough to pay off a mortgage or big medical bills but not enough to ruin your life or turn some idiot into an all-powerful instant magnate without the talent, ingenuity, or hard work usually required to get there. (But not always--see Trump, Donald.)
