Montgomery County, MD already has over 1M free inhabitants. Not sure why this is a big deal?

DC is not even 15% of the land area of Montgomery County. 1 million people in 500 square miles (Montgomery) is completely different than 1 million in 68 square miles (DC).

1 million people would also be a two-thirds increase in population from where DC is at now. That would be massive growth. It's a big deal.

With 1 million people:

Montgomery County MD = 491 sq. miles

Montgomery County MD Density with 1 million people = 2,037 people per sq. mile

and.......

Washington D.C. = 61 sq. miles

Washington D.C. Density with 1 million people = 16,393 people per sq. mile

And you don't see why that is a big deal?

D.C. is only 61 sq. miles of land. That 68 sq. mile area includes water.

People will adjust, come on now. When I pick up the Red line at 4:30pm that has a higher population density than 1M people. LOL

By the time it hits 2045, some scientist in DC will figure out how to jump dimensions. You would have 200 families living in the same apartment room, but that apartment will be split across 200 different dimensions within DC.

Well you know DC people are so advanced and sophisticated, by the time 2045 DC people will have evolved to breath underwater and fly. So it won't matter.

How is Metro going to handle that many people? They have enough trouble now.
