So I may be renting a room in a house in Friendship Heights. Anyone have any ideas on commuting times to Tysons Corner? I'd be driving on slightly off-hours - in at 10 a.m., out after 7. Any info would help, thanks.

In at 10 means you miss the worst of it. Are you driving? If yes, use the Chain Bridge and it will probably not take too long to get there. Same thing for the return.

Agree with DKF747... Chain bridge is probably your most direct route. The other way to try since you're off hours is just shooting up River Rd to 495S and taking it to Rt 123 or Rt 7.

I think either way will work. The highway maybe more problematic in bad weather though.....
