How is the Area Around Stanton Square and Capitol Hill Hospital? I am going to be living in the 600 block of Constitution Ave NE. Just wondering how close it was to stores, metro. Safe? I know the further NE you go the worst it gets but I hope being very close to the capitol it is a bit safer.

The 600 block of Constitution is an excellent area. It's a bit of a hike to the Union Station or Eastern Market metro stops, but the area is safe and there are some great restaurants nearby. You'll enjoy it there (at least I would).

I think it is ok for an intern, with the caveat we tell everyone--it's the city--anything can happen anywhere so don't walk around with your head in the clouds. Good BBQ at 8th and Maryland, also not a bad walk to Eastern Market.

For an internship it should be ok. Personally I'd like to be closer to a metro but if you are working on the Hill and hanging out on the Hill you'll probably walk everywhere anyway.
