Popular restaurants and bars for the local 20's crowd on a Saturday in DC?

Looking for an inexpensive restaurant that serves "American" food (steaks, burgers, pizza, wings, etc.) and a bar with a low cover if any.

Thanks!

Try Adams Morgan, an entire street filled with 20 somethings, eating, drinking, vomiting, the works!

But serioulsy, you may find what you are looking for, the street is filled with bars and many serve good food. You can bar hop the strip until you find exactly what you are in the mood for (no applebees sort of places either, all have a homegrown vibe). Most bars have no cover, and the ones with a cover are low (usually their is a band of some sort playing)

Plus they have the famous "big" slices of pizza on the strip, which are great after a nigt of carousing

There are so many.....but the first that comes to my mind is RFD for dinner, then walk down 7th a block to Rocket Bar (no food at Rocket Bar, but you can bring in takeout or even get delivery; no cover). Pretty much any bar in Adams Morgan would work, and most on U Street. There are also some in Capitol Hill (Barracks Row), especially if you're looking for burgers. You could also go to Buffalo Billiards or Front Page in Dupont (another in Ballston).
