Young family planning to move to Olympia/Lacey region... (Seattle: find a job, construction)

Aloha - As a young family of 5 we are planning to move to the Olympia/Lacey region. My husband has been out of work with the Carpenter's Union here in Hawaii. He's a Journeyman Fire Proofer/Spray Insulation Technician AND I work in Social Services. Is work plentiful in the area for Construction or will we need to find a place closer to Seattle?

The construction industry is hurting in Washington state, as it probaly is elsewhere in the country.
It might be a good idea to contact the Masterbuilder Association to find builders who are hiring before you make your move out here.

Thanks so much. My husband is in touch with the Carpenter's Union there. He's been told it's slow but he has a good/better chance of finding a "Insulation" company to work for than here in Hawaii as we only have a handful, which is hurting his chances of finding work.

I am foreigner and soon I will move to Lacey,WA to my fiancée and marriage and live there.I just want ask is it possible I mean easy for me find a job as a foreigner there? What kind of jobs are common there?
