No. Don't kid yourself. It's miserable there most of the time. Low clouds, rain, rain rain. Just when you think it can't possibly rain any harder, it does. Then it clears up for two months and is amazing. The rest of the time...rain. This is something you should know before you move there. Go there for three weeks in winter and see how the weather is - you'll get a good picture of 9-10 months out of the year.

Exaggerate much? Good grief. The only shred of credence to your post is the suggestion to see it at its worst. That suggestion is wise for anyone moving anywhere however.

This is exactly what its like. All the natural beauty in the world doesn't matter if you're stuck indoors most of the year. I spent 9 months up there and I'm never going back. Not that Seattle is any better, just more crowded. My time to move back to California can't come soon enough

Bellingham isn't for everyone. That's fair. I find it hilarious however that someone from CA would actually come to Bellingham and suggest that it's crowded.

Really?

Don't let the door I say.

Moderator cut: orphaned statement

Maybe 45 minutes at the gas line is exagerated, but it is a long wait for gas.
My new coworker from Texas is irritated to no end...didn't know what a "gas line" was until he moved here.
Canadians pull in with SUV's full of gas cans in the back and fill them all plus vehicle, it does take awhile. TYpically every other car is Canadian, and 1/4th of those will be doing the gas can thing so the impact is major.
I've stopped buying gas there because it's not worth my time. 15 gallons @ .10 cheaper is $1.50.
20 minutes of my time is worth alot more than $1.50...plus maybe I use that much money in gas idling..moving forward..idling..moving forward..while waiting.
Costco does ok at keeping stock, but their "milk room" does get restocked twice a day. If someone can explain me the east indians buying 20 gallons of milk each I'd appreciate it.
It's Walmart that you go to and find the shelves stripped in several of the food aisles.
