I enjoyed your response. Words like diatribe are used to describe a layperson's style of writing, the same as the words 'sex offender' is used by government to soften the true description which should be 'rapist'. But then again you are one of the self designated brilliant people so I am sure you are way smarter than 75 percent of the population on earth. Passion is not a diatribe. Oh and by the way, just asking for a liberal neighborhood in itself shows small mindedness towards what a person deems a non liberal human - again, labels used to alienate.
But Polyglott was correct. I was actually interested in your post, but couldn't make it past a third of it before quitting. Step back, be objective, bring out the little self-deprecating person inside of all of us....and you must admit your post was unreadable. I mean really, were you actually insinuating it wasn't?

There is nothing wrong with the OP asking about a "liberal, safe neighborhood" given her family's interracial composition. I myself have lived in more conservative and more liberal parts of the country in the past, but as a single white person, my neighbors' politics don't really affect me much. However, if I were married to and had a child with someone of a different race, or I were gay, it might matter to me very much. If it meant my property might be vandalized, my child might be called derogatory names, or worse by conservative folks who have prejudices against such arrangements, I would rather not live in such an area.

By the way, any time you benefit from a health care professional, take a medicine, cross a bridge, fly on a jet, drink tap water, flush the toilet, hire a licensed landscaper or landscape architect, are taught by a teacher in a public school, and myriad other activities, you are benefiting from people who went to college and learned how to do, design, or build those things. Sure, there are idiots with college degrees that can't do anything useful, but I've run into my fair share of uneducated auto mechanics and plumbers who aren't God's gift to society, either.
