Hey guys I'm from Yakima, WA... born and raised. I'll be 21 soon and I'm thinking of moving. I want out of this area, and I'd prefer to live on the west coast of WA. I enjoy the rain, and cooler weather of the coast as well as being closer to the ocean.
I need a town where there are things to do for a young lady, or atleast a small town that's closer to a town that has these things. I enjoy the busy life of clubs and shopping but I also enjoy hiking, biking, camping etc...
I don't want to move into down town Seattle, I know the cost would be crazy and I'm planning on going back to school to finish my AA(the school is undecided on.)
If you know of a great place to live... low-ish crime rates, lots of things to do, nice people, beautiful landscape, and comparative in cost (a small one bedroom apt here is around 500/month... a small house is about 900/month) please send them my way. If you have pics, that's a plus

You could look at Des Moines WA.
Has a community college. Highline Community College (HCC), Des Moines, WA (Washington State Community Colleges)
About average on crime. Probably less expensive than most places closer to or in Seattle. Near the water. Maybe near enough to clubs and shopping.

If it is not near enough for you, maybe look at Renton. Might be more expensive.

Those are 2 options. If you didn't like them maybe look at Woodinville, Shoreline or Edmonds. They are probably more expensive.

All places mentioned have community or technical colleges except Woodinville and from there you can still get to Shoreline or Kirkland's with a fairly short drive.

Bellingham, Arlington, Olympia, Longview/Kelso, Aberdeen. (The last is a bit depressing, but is close to to the ocean and is inexpensive.) All are within driving distance of the big city.

Bellingham. Hands down. Olympia could work too.
