Currently my family lives in South Carolina but I have a possible job in Morton, WA at Morton General. Is it possible to live in Pullyup or other outlying suburb with my family and commute. How are the roads and or driving conditions and are there better places to live that will provide us the urban experiences we are used to while I commute to the hospital.

Eatonville is the largest town nearby and it is 37+ minutes away according to Google. If you are looking for anything urban you aren't going to find it in a reasonable commute to Morton. Morton is also in the foothills so the Hwy leading to it from the north can be winding and if the snow levels drops it could be a dicey commute. The hospital may also require you to live closer so you may want to check on that.

Morton is a cool little town but far away from everything (except where you will be working). It's almost like a ghost town but with a few people still there, maybe 1,000.

There's nothing "urban" until you get to the Tumwater/Olympia area, Vancouver may be closer but is by no means urban. Figure an hour and a half each way in normal weather. Centralia
and Chehalis are a little more developed for a place to live but still small towns. Puyallup is not urban either, and that commute is about an hour and 3/4 each way on a country road.

Olympia is your best bet and it's nearly an hour away. What type of urban enviornment are you looking for? Are you looking for something like Greenville, Aiken/Augusta, Columbia, Charleston, Greenwood, or Charlotte? Morton is larger than Edgefield but smaller than Greenwood. I used to live in North Augusta and I now own a cabin in Morton.
