We were thinking of moving to Sudden Valley but there are indications on the SVCA (Sudden Valley Community Association) website that, first, they are struggling financially and second, there is bad feeling between the board and some of the homeowners.

Does anyone know what the deal is? Who is fighting whom, over what?

Also, I see that the SVCA recently converted to a 501(c)4 social welfare organization. Doesn't that mean all the amenities have to be made available to the general public on a nondiscriminatory basis? If so, isn't that in conflict with the founding documents (Articles of Incorporation and whatever else)?

There has been a good bit posted on SV and its problems in the past. You may want to check past postings.
