This is for all the poker and blackjack dealers, I've got some questions for you.

First, I'll give you a little history about me and my wife:

We are planning on moving to Washington from Phoenix, and we are both dealers. She is a blackjack dealer for the past 2 years, and I am a poker dealer for the past 7 years. We are in desperate need of a change of scenery from the oven which is the desert of the southwest.

Now, onto the questions:

1. What are the best casinos to work at in the Seattle/Tacoma areas?
2. Do you keep your own tips, or have to pool them?
3. Are the card rooms/sports bar type casinos decent to work at?
4. We have been told about Freddie's Club, Muckleshoot, and Emerald Queen. Do you have any pros/cons to working at any of these places?
5. Are the poker rooms smoking or non-smoking?

We would really, really appreciate any help or guidance you could give us in our search for a good casino to work at. Thanks in advance.

-The Wolfman

Okay, since nobody has responded I will tell you the (very) little that I know.

The three big Indian casinos near Seattle are Muckleshoot, Tulalip and Snoqualmie. All have relatively big poker rooms and am not sure but I believe blackjack as well. I believe all poker rooms are non-smoking but other table games - including blackjack - are smoking.

Sorry that I don't have any more information than that for you. Hopefully somebody else will post soon to give you more information.

Tulalip and Muckleshoot have non-smoking poker rooms. I would assume Snoqualmie does as well, but am not sure. However, the smaller poker rooms in the area may be completely different and I would defer to nwcountrygal there.

Just as a follow-up/correction, it appears that Muckleshoot may have a non-smoking room, but there is no barrier between that and the smoking areas of the casino. However, Tulalip definitely does have its poker room set off with a door from the rest of the (smoking part of the) casino. I believe that Snoqualmie's is also set off with a divider between it and the rest of the casino.
