Where can you find out which breeds are restricted? I have two large dogs that are mixed breeds and may be looking to rent. In El Dorado Co. in NorCA, there are no restrictions on insuring homes due to dog breeds, just fire danger (which is high and costs a lot to insure).

Are the breed restrictions mainly in the more populated areas? I'll be looking to rent in Mason or Grays Harbor Counties.

I know here in San Diego, we simply had to call different insurance companies and find out their individual policies. And as for renting, I think it will be the same deal; breed restriction and weight limits - but also keeping in mind that they are probably stricter on 2 dogs vs one.

it is basically impossible to find anywhere to live in the state of washington with a pitbull or pit mix. i am STUCK where I am at, and refuse to get rid of my nine year old pit. She is a VERY sweet and loving dog and is WAY MORE behaved than 95% of the children in this complex. Unfortunately over the last five years our apartment complex has deteriorated to SH**. I am at a total loss of what to do. It is truly crazy that that have so many restrictions on pets. Don't get me wrong, I understand the principles behind the restrictions...but seriously??? That's like being racist and not letting people of certains races/cultures/religions rent your property. Any animal can be a bad animal...including humans...
