I looked at that map and wasn't happy that my county has thirteen labs but then I didn't feel so bd when I looked at Pierce - 213!!! Holy crap!

I used to work in a feed store and we always had tweakers coming in, wanting to buy 7% Iodine. At one time, you could buy it by the gallon. And we always knew when they came through the door who they were and what they were up to - they always went right to the aisle it was kept on. My boss didn't want to encourage their business, so she started carrying it in just the quart size and we kept it behind the counter so they had to ask for it and we could only sell them one; in fact, we were only allowed to keep one bottle in the glass case at a time so that it looked like that was all we had. Now, you can't even get the 7%, which sucks for those of us with animals and who have a legitimate use for it.

The county sheriff must be smoking dope or something. Can't they get some kind of federal grant to clear out the labs?

Pierce County is known for their lower working class population. The meth labs are located around Spanaway, Frederickson, Parkland, South Hill, and portions in the rural county.

Multnomah County has a meth problem in Gresham and an area known as Rockwood. NW Portland and NE Portland have lots of meth problems and higher rates of crime.

Meth has been a major drug problem in the Pacific Northwest since the 1980s. It is declining thanks to police work.

No use in asking why people like these need that much stimulation. How did the proletariat live without artificial chemicals for so long?

The proletariat didn't have to be as productive as our workers do. Meth improves productivity, at least initially, think adderall.

Yeah, it was about increasing productivity. I think I read it was invented by Nazi scientists. They would give it to their troops on the eastern front so they could keep on fighting and not get tired. Troops would be awake for days and still trying to take out ruskies.

The Spanish fed native silver miners cocaine so they would work themselves to death. But if the bosses want this, why isn't meth legal?
