I was accepted to a grad program at UPS this fall and I will be moving from Oakland California. I will be in a full-time program there, so no income, no help other than any fed aid or grants or scholarships or bank loans I get.

Is there anyone out there that is a single parent student in a similar situation that can offer advice? I was told that UPS doesn't have family housing but is there a good alternative nearby? Any other Financial Aid that I can and should apply for?

Any recommendations on where to live and schools to check out? My son will be starting Kindergarten so advice on schools would be excellent as well. I am very interested in any bilingual education (Spanish/Mandarin/??) that Tacoma has also. I read that there is a Catholic school that offers 50/50 immersion but it looks far away from UPS campus. Anything else?

Thanks in advance!
