Shout out! What area? Did you grow up here?

I grew up in the east side.

From no, live yes.. I am starting to really learn this town as it is the only real city within close proximity to me..

East Side?? I assume you are talking about the rough spot of Tacoma's east side.. Tacoma can be a bit gritty and rough, but the town seems to have some charm.

My favorite part of town is the 6th Ave District, although the downtown and North End are decent areas. Actually, the North End is quite nice.

I still say you cannot beat the view of Mt Rainier from Tacoma. I would say it qualifies as America's most naturally scenic city on one of those rare clear days.

I love downtown! I used to live over on hill top, which is also gritty by reputation, but wasn't too bad. I go to UWT and love the area there. Always wished I could have a loft or an apartment there.

T-Town is a nice place.. I was driving through Hilltop yesterday.. It didn't seem so bad and its close to the 6th Ave area which is Tacoma's new nightlife spot. Tacoma has its charms and certainly feels more rustic and historic than Seattle. I always enjoy seeing all the restored old buildings in the downtown. Downtown Seattle, while feeling cosmopolitan, sadly, feels a bit sterile in most spots.

Yeah, the UWT campus looks decent and it's in a nice location, being in downtown Tacoma.

Born and raised...lived in NE Tacoma top of Mcmurray Road (snake hill), on E 62nd and McKinley, Stadium District and currently in North Tacoma. This place has changed a lot. It's been for the better but sometimes I miss the old gritty Tacoma. These days you're completely safe walking through Hilltop and if you go to a store or restaurant downtown your car is still there when you leave.
