I can't help with most of your questions but a couple -

Clothing entirely depends on your tastes and style. If you like brand names then you'll probably pay more for it. I end up buying most of my clothes at Target simply because I can't stand a big label name on my clothes and manage not to pay too much. Sometimes about $20 for pants and I love buying the three-packs of nondescript black T-shirts for about $10. I don't think that's too bad.

Computers totally vary. I priced laptops vs tablets during the past summer and found that I could get a no-frills laptop running Windows 8 for about $200. The great thing is that file/data storage is cheap these days and you can store things in the cloud for free. I'm assuming you'll be using your laptop for school work and maybe online calls/video chats home with friends? Should be lots of affordable options for you. I'd check Fry's Electronics if you can get up to Renton. But from what I know, computers here in the US are way more reasonable than they are in parts of Africa so I would definitely check that out.

What part of Africa are you coming from?
