Yeah, I'm looking at the WDOT webcams and I see it's actually sticking in downtown Seattle too.

Gee, allforcats, is this the the first time you've seen snow?

j/k

Ah, ok. Yeah, I remember being that way when I was a little kid. But that's part of the reason I moved is that I wanted to get away from shoveling snow. But yeah, I guess I kind of miss it.

What's the temperature? It was 38 when I looked at the NWS site a few hours ago. That would make the snow pretty wet and heavy. I'll take another look as soon as I'm finished writing this.

Yeah, it's pretty chilly in Blvu. But when I was screaming in delight a few minutes ago, the air was packed with big fat flakes. Now it's thinned out, the same way rain works, to little tiny flakes. It's already melting on the street but some of the trees are holding some snow. BTW, I'm still a little kid and always will be when it comes to snow. And I buy condos, so that someone else has to shovel snow:-)

It's beautiful. We were hiking and building snowmen earlier. I love it.

went for a snow walk earlier tonight as well, around 8:30 it was beautiful out! We got about 3+ inches here in woodinville. Started about 1:45 or so today.I don't mind the snow at all, what bothers me is the amount of people who do not know how to drive in it.... lol Kinda scary actually..Our entertainment tonight was watching people attempt to get up the hill here at our condo complex! Better than TV! Oh well as someone else pointed out, it won't last long as we are forcasted to get "flooding" rains and "high damaging winds" according to weather forcast.. Gotta love it! Living in the Pacific NW is never a dull moment... Be safe out there. Happy Holidays.

We got 5" here in Whatcom county and the same "heavy rain and wind" warnings. What's cool is Bellingham sold their snowplows in '92 (rumor has it to buy drugs), so we have to wait for the stuff to melt.

The city/county/state is trying to cover their butts for the no warning on the Thanksgiving '06 storm and the last wind storm. We can expect warnings about warnings (pre-warning that a warning may be coming) from now on or at least for the next year anyway, until they start covering up for another set of mistakes and miscues.
