I feel like I'm wasting it, cuz my body is adjusted to early to bed/early to rise

Wish we'd just move it l/2 hr & keep it that way year round

I think we should vote to keep daylight savings time as our permanent year-round standard. The late daylight hours in the summer evenings are GREAT, and when the days are shorter in the winter, it would be good to have that extra hour at the end of the day instead of in the morning.

That's actually what I stated in my first post, I just typed the opposite of what I meant in my second post. My order of preference would be: keep DST permanent, stop using DST, and then sticking with the current savings / standard time. I just don't see how any energy is being saved by using DST in Washington. (By far, my electric bill is dominated by heating costs. My CFL and LED bulbs don't use much electricity at all.) With / without DST, there is still plenty of time in the summer to dig up potatoes, pick apples, cherries, grapes, and of course harvest hops too. And moving the clock time an hour forward each year and would make our state even more unique.

I think that such an initiative would pass, but I'm unsure there would be enough support for the idea to get it on a ballot. Some people just don't like change.

I feel a movement coming on... we need to develop a Twitter hashtag for our "campaign"... any suggestions?

Yick! No way, I like the evening and a dark morning. The sun gets along better with my plants than it does me.

I don't care for the super late sunsets, but I also don't like those days where it's dark around 4:30 (seems even sooner on particularly cloudy days). I guess I like it best when sunset happens in the 6-8 pm range.
