And we have more Californians than you do, so we'll just occupy your towns and replace the homey cafes with Starbucks and expensive dining establishments and drive up the price of your real estate. We'll also convert all of your food production acreage into vanity wineries and golf courses.
Western Washington has farmers and lumberjacks?? My daughter lives in Capitol Hill and all I see are "pajama boys" drinking their hot chocolate on the street.

Just vanity wineries....nobody is their right minds is building golf courses. PS.....according to the federal tax code you get 150% back on your investment (just in taxes) due to the IRS IF you put in a vineyard!!!

Actually the drones are made in EASTERN Washington....however, Boeing has bought out the company and if they follow their usual pattern when they buy eastern Washington companies it should be closed in few years.

As for electricity.....NOT even close. Depending on how you calculate WIND power generation.....80 to 90 percent of Washington's generated electricity comes from eastern Washington!!!

A good portion of western Washington's power comes from Colstrip in Montana and is not included in the total. There are going to be some really pissed off people in western Washington and Oregon when Obama's coal policy comes into effect. Welcome to the wonderful, wacky world of power generation in the west!!!

On a related note......98.6% of power generated in eastern Washington comes from carbon-free sources. In western Washington 75.6% of the power generated there comes from carbon sources!!!!

So much for GREEN, ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY western WASHINGTON.

On a final note since we are talking about a Battle Royal between east and west......When Y2K was about to hit the local radio station was interviewing a local PUD official and kept pressing him on whether power would go out in Wenatchee if the grid went down.

He kept assuring the reporter that the lights would stay on in Wenatchee no matter what. The reporter kept pressing how he was so sure.......finally the PUD official basically said......if the grid becomes unstable we are disconnecting......the lights will go out in Puget Sound, but not Wenatchee.

Hey, some of my best friends still live in western Washington.

People in western Washngton are not eco-phonies they just are not well educated when it comes to environmental issues. All the good things come over from eastern Washngton, but they never see it created!! So their electricity comes from a outlet rather than Rocky Reach Dam or Colstrip in Montana.

If you live in eastern Washington you will learn all about the grid, wind power, apples, wheat, nuclear power, wildlife management, water issues, fish issues as they relate to hydro, habitat, and harvest, high-speed fiber optic lines and so forth.

I am surprised how much western Washington residents know about airplanes, software and coffee. I learn so much about coffee when my friends come over the hill.

LOL! For once, we agree.

As a farmer and former lumberjack... I think you city slickers would make better fodder, because their seems to be an endless number of you.... Besides, farmers and lumberjacks provide food and shelter, essentials to life... What,,, city slickers lawyer each other, flip hamburgers or write more code for silly gizmo's and gadgets of the leisure crowd. Sound dispensable to me...

LOL, you can bring western WA to it's knees. Just stop the trucks from running down the Gorge, over the passes and up I-5, and in 4 weeks they'll surrender, due to starvation.

Tongue in cheek of course.

What scares me, is if (when?) western WA ever gets the big quake. It's gonna be hell over there, and guess who's gonna have to keep em all alive? Eastern WA, of course.

Eastern Wa may be tougher, but Western WA is better armed.....every soccer mom is packing. Plus more per capita income equal better weapons and more ammo reserves.

I have to disagree that Western Washington is better armed. Unless Western Washingtonians are going to throw hot Starbucks Lattes at their attackers.

Where did you get this information? I would have to see the reference to believe it. You're trying to say that the liberal gun grabbers in Seattle are more likely to be carrying a CPL than the rednecks in Eastern WA?

EDIT: By this map,

http://www.krem.com/home/related/CPL...214371971.html

it looks like Western WA does have considerably more CPL's than Eastern WA (316,877:114,000), but Western WA also has a considerably lower percentage of CPL's per capita.

So basically, if it came down to it, Western WA would definitely have the upper hand in manpower and firepower, unfortunately - due to sheer population numbers. They could simply send in the hordes of unarmed liberals as gun fodder, and then have the guys with CPL's bring up the rear when Eastern WA's ammo is used up.

The hordes would be armed with dead weasels and hot latte's.
