So my business will now be spread between Downtown Tacoma, Gig Harbor, and Federal Way, with alternating travel to each location. Single male, no kids. Keeping a residence in OR, and will travel to TX as well, so I'm looking for a decent/safe 1BR or even a studio under $850 a month.

Reading reviews of places on Yelp is grossing me out. Roaches and mice seem to be frequently mentioned. So, is Ruston a good area to look? Gig Harbor? What's up with the Narrows Bridge, would that be a beating commuting to Tacoma?

Likes: Restaurants/bars, water, cloudier areas, fog.

Dislikes: Being robbed or stabbed, roaches, mice.

Thanks!

Ruston's nice. So is Old Town Tacoma and Proctor in Tacoma. Not likely you'll get robbed or stabbed, and roaches are fairly rare around here. Some older apartment buildings have rodents, as well as places surrounded by farmland. The commute over the Narrows bridge isn't bad, but there is a toll. Gig harbor is very nice. Federal Way? Mixed bag.

Thank you! Yelp reviews tend to be overblown and negative.
