He is suggesting places for you to consider living. Camas is in Washington State and Singapore is in Asia. Stealthrabbit has had or knows of positive experiences in both places. Reread his post carefully and it will be clear.

I have 2 young kids and live in the city. It depends on your budget but we love Queen Anne. There are a ton of kid activities, it's close to the zoo and it feels like a small community within the city. Great schools too. Almost any city in Seattle will have lots of kid friendly places. When I take the kids out to the suburbs, there are kid activities in Factoria, Bellevue and Lynnwood. I like Shoreline or Mountlake Terrace because it's still close to everything but more affordable.

Seattle is a great place to raise kids!

Activities for 3 and 5 year old? What do your kids like to do?

When my kid was 3, he was hiking, camping, horse back riding, canoeing. By the time he was 5, he was fishing, target shooting, showing dogs and horses. Close to the mountains and the outdoors was good for my kid.

If by "activities", you mean play groups, art classes, parks and recreation classes, after school activities and sports, then you want a completely different type of location.

The state of Oregon tends to have meth problems and is probbaly going to legalize marijuana this fall. It's not where I would recommend for "drug free"

Schools are generally better on the eastside (Bothell, Kirkland, Bellevue, Issaquah, N. Renton, etc.). There are good schools in Seattle, but you have to do your research and be proactive.
