In retrospect, I'm glad you're actively avoiding living near military families because I'd never want my kids exposed to ignorance like you just displayed in your rant. To make a blanket statement that no military families take care of their homes/yards and ***** about freebies (that I'll argue aren't freebies at all - they are earned) is insane and entirely untrue. I'm sorry you've developed such a negative, hostile attitude toward people who put their lives on the line for you (yes, they "volunteered", but where are you volunteering your life - literally - for our freedom?), but I'm mostly sad for the example you're setting for your children.

You're entitled to your earned wages and benefits, just like everybody else who does a job. People in the military are employees of the government and your salary/wages are paid by all of us taxpayers. So you can say thanks to all of us for paying your way. Too busy being ungrateful and feeling put-upon while they mope around like martyrs waving the flag and expecting to be treated like a hero.

How about this: stay on the bases, keep your military culture to yourself, and stop flying your loud polluting jets and helicopters over our cities and homes.

Here's another news flash for you before you start crying and sobbing in response to my post: The mess and noise you make has nothing to do with freedom. You neither provide freedom nor understand it. You're paid public employees, nothing more, nothing less. Get over yourselves.
