Hello,
What will be the safest and closest apartment to The Boeing Company, 3003 West Casino Road, Everett, WA 98204? Somewhere with public transportation or paid car pooling? I am a young 20 year student who will be interning this summer.
Thankyou
Nagesco

I am no expert on Everett but Casino Road can be rough. I would look at something near the water in Mukilteo.

You might want to look for an apartment in Everett and take transit or a vanpool to Boeing Everett:

Here's a map of transit routes (Everett Transit, Community Transit, and King County Metro Transit) serving Boeing Everett:

Just avoid the apartments that are on Casino Road, they are the worst crime areas in Everett.

Looks more into the Silverlake area or the east end of 112th (cross streets ideally) if you don't want to pay Mukilteo prices. Casino is only bad as it relates to high property crime rates, not actual physical danger per se. If you take precautions (security system with visible signs/stickers is a nice deterrent) you will be fine almost everyhwere in Everett. Bear in mind that Western WA is one of the snobbiest places in the country---people tend to frown at anything outside of Seattle in spite of the fact Seattle has high property crime rates as well. Real ghettos are pretty much absent from Western WA, so the locals tend to exaggerate the problems here---they are rather spoiled after all. There was 1 murder in 2012 and 1 in 2013. I imagine it is largely the same for the past few years. Washingtonians wouldn't know a ghetto if it hit them in the face.

My warning on the Casino Road apartments is based on my own experience while working on some of them. The owners gave them an exterior "refresh" and my business subcontracted some of the work, so I spent a lot of time there. It was not all property crime. Fights requiring ambulances, police arriving during the day code 3 followed by ambulances and bloody people carried out. This was 2-3 times just in the 6-7 hours we were there, in 3 different complexes. I found out most of it was domestic violence, but also drug related violence. True, though, most of it is property crime, especially stolen cars and car prowls.

I would avoid Casino, but I will second Marcus that Everett isn't a dangerous city at all. There IS property crime, so just take precautions. Silver Lake is beautiful. If you can find a place anywhere around the lake on either side you are in good shape. Mirabella apartments, for example, are nice, but the parking is a real pain from what I understand. You may have to park in one of the adjacent/nearby cross streets, but these are all in very nice established neighborhoods too. Then of course there is Mill Creek, though this gets pricier like Mukilteo.
