I've tried just about all services available and my magic combo has been Comcast 50mbps internet, Hulu, Netflix, and a HD antenna. In Tacoma city limits Comcast is cheaper than outside city limits because of competition from Click. In Puyallup my bills amount to $80.00 per month for everything but there is a catch. You have to be able to go in to the Comcast store and talk yourself into deals every time one runs out. I pay $45 a month for internet alone which would normally cost me $70-80. Every time my deal is up I disconnect my router take it with me to the store and try to cancel my service. For the past 6 years I've been on a discount. My HD antenna gets me about 20 channels but I only watch 3-4 of those channels regularly and they come in crystal clear. HD antenna my not be for everyone but it fits my needs. I also have an Xbox one for must watch TV that isn't available on Netflix or Hulu. My daughter loves the walking dead which I buy season passes for on the Xbox. This combo has met our needs just about perfectly and you may be able to cut the cost even more depending where you live.

Comcast will also give you deals for Blast Internet + Basic TV or Digital Economy for less or close to the same as Internet alone.

Why I'm staying with Comcast

Go without the HD/DVR box, opting for an SD box, or you'll pay more - rely on an attenna to pull in over-the-air HD channels. You won't be getting any of the sports channels, but can watch on-line ESPN, Pac-12 Networks, SEC Networks, BTN, etc. using Kodi TV (free). You can also use Sling TV (available for Amazon Fire, Roku, Chromecast, Nexus Player) for $20 + $5 to watch many sports channels on your TV over the Internet.
