Well, I guess that you are fairly accurate concerning Wenatchee's weather. However, that is pretty much where the similarities end. Topography, infrastructure, major industries, etc. vary greatly.

Eastern Washington is heavily agricultural with a high % of hispanic people, meth-heads, retirees from Seattle, and lots of transplants from CA. There is pervasive gang activity throughout the area. It is a desert climate wise and culturally. The infrastructure is good though.

It can be a peaceful place to live with a very laid back lifestyle, you just have to know where to avoid. There are places in Eastern Washington that resemble El Salvador.

I'll add that there is a growing Mormon population in the area, so consider that.

Huh?

Do you live in Eastern WA?

There may be some minor gang activity in a few concentrated areas, but the entire eastern 2/3 of this state certainly doesn't have "pervasive" gang activity. I have lived in at least 5 small towns in Eastern WA, and other than small, semi-gang activity in Wenatchee, none of those towns have any gang activity at all.

And what exactly is a "cultural desert"? Is that a code word for "not liberal"?

And Mormon population? Sure, there are Mormons. So what? They are a minor demographic group in Eastern WA, and I don't see the big deal unless the OP specifically asked for that info.

im pretty much a jack of all trades when it comes to that, its just that moving down here to florida kidna cut off any warehouse/manual labor in general jobs cause of the heat/conditions

luckly created a path of data entry/call center jobs

and i just found out that Amazon has a customer service center right in Kennewick which is just awesome, would have never thought they'd be there since the HQ is right over in Seattle

Tri-Cities is hugely positioned as the next growth area of WA State. In fact, it is already on the way, as the real estate market has been on fire since the first of the year. Homes have been selling within 1 or 2 weeks. This could slow as we approach the summer season, but I wouldn't bet on it. There is no question, The Tri-Cities is the fastest growing metro in the state, and likely will be for awhile.

You know I'll post anytime I see you taking on a poster about his/her IGNORANCE and prejudice about LDS members.

Some non-LDS posters here at CDF like to have Mormon neighbors as their neighborhoods are usually quieter and safer. One atheist says he'd like to have every other house on his street have active LDS members in them.

Cleaning up broken beer bottles, having some intoxicated people come to my house by mistake instead of next door to the big drinking parties got really old quickly.

I noticed that comment also contained a lot of other judgemental statements about different people. I'll pass for now addressing more. But I'll back you anyday!! I think I told you once about what I considered one of the most bizarre posts ever on CDF, IMO. A mom from the east had two full-time nannies who were active LDS, despite the family being non-LDS. Both she and her husband felt their children were well cared for and frankly enjoyed their live-in nannies. One of the parents got transfered to the Intermountain area and the mom wondered what life was like among Mormons

The poster here can respond to at least three or more of us who want to know more how that person formulated his/her opinion of people different from him/her.

I guess your username should have been enough to clue some of us in about your intolerance and ignorant views about anyone not an entaniomer of yourself.
