I'm loading up my daughter's car and driving her (7 months pregnant) and her three year old son and will be arriving at their new home on Sunday. Daughter is a kindergarten teacher but will be staying home for the next couple years. She's so sad to be leaving California. She's a fourth generation native, all of her family is here and she's worried about being isolated and homesick (and knowing her as I do, I know this will happen, and being so pregnant, too, she is quite vulnerable). Can anyone direct us to mommy meet-up groups or anything like that? She's in the South Hill area in those new homes. She has a car. I'll be there for the first week, then have to come home. I'm a teacher, too, so my spring break will be over on Saturday. Then I will be up there for a good part of the summer. This board was so helpful to my other daughter when she relocated to Philadelphia, then Scotch Plains.
