Looks like it is going to be fairly hot later this week. Wondering what the best lake around the Olympia area for swimming is?

I grew up swimming at Black Lake, but we lived there and had a private community dock. I think the best public place on Black Lake is Columbus Park... Coincidentally, directly across the lake from where I used to live!

I second Black Lake! Growing up we had our family reunions there every summer for over 20 years.

Columbus park? I actually drove past it the other day and it said it was a private RV park & campground?

It is a private park - Privately owned, as opposed to a state or city park. But it is open to the public.

There is Millersylvania State park with swimming too. Just south of Tumwater.

Cool thanks I'll check out Columbus. Actually already went to Millersvania a couple weeks back but Columbus is just a couple minutes down the street.
