Hello,

New to Washington this summer and looking at skiing this winter. Snoqualmie is closer but seems spendy and Mission Ridge seems to have more going on?

What is the best value and if it is Mission Ridge is the longer drive worth it? And are there other options I am not aware of?

I am from Minnesota and have limited skiing experience but I want to try it this winter since I am finally close to mountains.

Thank you,

Brent

Never considered Snoqualmie "spendy" - go to Whistler to see "spendy". I would say stick with Snoqualmie - much easier to reach (short drive, interstate highway). They have great learn to ski packages.

Mission Ridge usually is colder but with drier, more powdery snow than Snoqualmie, being on the east side of the Cascades.

Snoqualmie is easy, but can have peanut-butter snow. Probably fine for the groomed beginner runs. - eventually you'll want to ski both.

Snoqualmie Pass really has about 3-4 different resorts and I think there is pricing for just one or an all access pass.

Thank you for the advice.

In comparing Snoqualmie to Mission Ridge it seemed spendy...I am certain I could drop many times more elsewhere.

The ease of reach is a good point.

I think I will earn my way to Mission Ridge and other places onward; I have a good beginner's place nearest me in Snoqualmie.
