I wouldn't have even been aware I was about to hit that 1 TB data cap if I didn't have the infinity app installed and it sent me a push notification. I've noticed my data usage has steadily been increasing over the months since they introduced the data cap here in November and nothing has changed at all on our end. It's just me and my fiancee that use the Internet and I only play some multiplayer games occasionally and we both use Netflix at night. I'm now only 68gb away from hitting the data cap. The first month they introduced the data cap I was around ~500gb and it has been increasing each month for no reason. I've talked to other people who noticed the same thing. Anyone else here notice that? Link to check usage:

I browse during the day and watch Netflix/SlingTV/Amazon at night. No multiplayer games. I'm at 227GB.

I work from home(often on webex meetings), we get all our tv through streaming sling/netflix/hulu, and wife and I both are avid gamers. Usage has fluctuated up and down over the past few months in the mid 400s. But for the month of March we're sitting at 570gb. I would expect that to drop in the coming months as that weird bright ball in the sky is out more often.

A bit surprised we're only around half of the cap and I would say we're pretty heavy users. But I guess you have to be torrenting movies all day or something to really fall into that category.

If you suspect your usage is incorrect, check to see if your router has traffic stats.

I don't torrent anything. I play multiplayer games maybe a few times a week and apart from web browsing we just use Netflix and Twitch.

That does sound iffy based on your description. I would check router usage statistics if it has those. Or maybe someone else is tapping in to your wifi. My wife will leave Sling running nearly all day just as background noise while we've got 4-5 other things going online too and we're only half the cap.

Yeah and my PC has only used around ~250gb this month according to the data usage in Windows settings. The only other devices I use Internet on are my phone and TV for Netflix and Twitch. I have a PS4 but I rarely use it...don't think I touched it this month.

Just checked. We are only at about 60%, and it's the last day of the period. Right now we have 3 iPads, 3 phones and one computer using wifi, normal for the evenings, but we don't stream movies.

We used 150GB in January, 255GB in February, and 211GB in March. We were binging on a few streaming shows in February, as I recall.

I did see that Comcast gives a two-month grace period for those that hit the cap for the first time. Hopefully this helps users a little more time to figure things out.

When I try to read the Usage Meter on the web I am told it is not yet available. When I look on my app I am told "No devices have been set up." I wonder if this is because I bought my own router.
Do you use a Comcast supplied router or did you buy one?
