Has anyone done this recently? Is it still possible? I have found a few articles on the 'net about it, but nothing is very recent. I know the Watershed boundary is close to there and you can't get to the Stampede Pass tunnel from the west side because of that. Does anyone out there in City-Data land know anything about this? Thanks!

No one yet? Guess I'm a little impatient, though I really shouldn't be seeing as I should probably wait until spring/summer before attempting. I'm not even sure how far one can drive down forest service road 54 anymore ...

I think I may have just had my own epiphany ... I clicked on the "map" from the link of photos and I think this person walked through from east to west, so to get to Lester, just like Stampede Pass, I am thinking we have to go in from the east.
