We are considering buying some property in Morton. I'm wondering what medical services are available in the area or would we have to get a doctor in Olympia or Centralia. Also, are there EMT, cable and cell phone services. Thanks!

There is a clinic in Eatonville. For full medical care you would need to travel to Puyallup. We had Group Health which is now Kaiser Permenante. Great doctors. We had to drive to Tacoma specialists or CT scans, etc. Husband had some testing for cancer in Seattle and Bellevue.

Nothing much in Morton - lots of loggers, meth-heads. I do think they have a small grocery store. Husband and I would drive up there sometimes to eat at the Shell gas station. Great chicken fingers and jojos.

We owned property right outside Eatonville but decided not to build as it was just too cold there for us. Blessed to take a paidjob transfer to TX, my home state.

I think better than going North to Eatonville, particularly in winter, I would plan on heading West into Centralia or even Olympia for any major medical needs. Both Centralia and Olympia have large modern hospitals and clinics.

There is a small hospital in Morton for most general and family practice needs:
