A couple questions mainly for the locals but would dig any info.

#1 ; How many people from California’s “680 Corridor” do you know that live there?
I’m wondering about the Danville ,Alamo,San Ramone area.

#2; How man people from the greater Bay Area do you know that live the?

I am kinda in awe.
We know 3 family’s from our town for many years that are current full time residents, and I think that that number will increase due to family members coming in.
Ours will.

Thank you.
Andy.

My parents are just outside the city limits in unincorporated Port Angeles, and moved there after retiring from the "680 corridor" in 1998, and a brother moved to Sequim from just off 680 (Lafayette). They have met many others from the Bay Area, but also, more recently, a lot of retirees from the Seattle area.

What do they do for work in Sequim? Or do they work remotely?

One couple works remotely.
One couple manufacturers things from home.
The other couple lives a bit south of Sequim.
She is a techy and he is a contractor/stay at home Dad.
All are pretty techy.

Nice!
I went to Spring Hill Elementary,Lafayette elementary (for summer school),MH Stanley and Accalones.
I was also juggled around as a kid from a broken home so I went to Buena Vista in WC,Valley View and College Park (in Pleasant Hill next to DVC).
My wife’s house when she was a kid was the tallest hill just south of the Lafayette Resivoir with the water in her back yard.
Ya she had to take an uphill hike.
My house was about a mile north of the Lafayette BART station.
We could ride mini bikes or dirt bikes from Lafayette to Richmond when we clipped fence wire.
Ya I know “Stupid Kids”, do stupid stuff.
Never thought I would meet somebody that spent time at my schools here.
Very nice.
Thank you.
Andy.

Having lived in Sequim for over 20 years and before that, living outside of PT...I have met numerous people from both Seattle and California.. I have no problem with transplants as long as they don't bring their Seattle and California liberal ideas with them. Most don't...and I have a suspicion that is why they fled California and/or Seattle.

The people I know don't try to change a thing but try to assimilate without trying to make over the town and surrounding area...unlike Port Townsend where liberal Californians and liberals from Seattle have destroyed what I remember Port Townsend once was when I lived in that area.

I normally don’t talk about politics but here it is in a nutshell.
I am a centralist.
Pretty much a libertarian that doesn’t like to waste money.
That said;I’m pro labor, I’m for education,I’m for not losing you house when syou get sick.
I also like my guns and being a legal immigrant I expect that from others.
Basically if you don’t bother me I won’t bother you.
G’day.
Andy.
