Is there any town in western WA with house prices similar to the Spokane area? Does it just not exist?

Because we're on the far side of the state from Spokane and don't spend much time there... help us out. What price range are you looking for? To buy? To rent? What kind of place?

Prices vary widely and there are affordable places. But it depends what you're looking for, and how you define affordable.

Sure, as long as you don't mind being away from any sizeable cities. The west coast, Long Beach, Raymond, Lebam, Ocean Shores, Hoquiam, Aberdeen, Montesano. Some even cheaper than Spokane.

How old are you? Sequim has affordable senior apartments. Do you need to be close to some kind of job center? Most of the low-cost housing is far from jobs. Shelton, a former logging town, is starting to revive, as people who work in Olympia go farther out into the exurbs, looking for affordable RE, that's a reasonable commutable distance from work. That might be your best bet, if you need to be anywhere near a job center.

We need some terms defined before we can really advise more. There are probably whole towns, and parts within larger ones, that would qualify as similarly affordable to Spokane.

Are we looking for city? suburban, country? home? condo? rent? buy? What size? We just don't know.
Happy to help with more info.

OP stated "house prices", so I'm going to say no. Sure, you might find a run down home in the get shot part of some town that is "affordable" on the west side, but that same money will get a you a nice home in a good neighborhood in Spokane. There is a reason it's become the go-to for several of my former coworkers.

Check areas near Cathlamet, WA 98612...... Their hotel / business was less expensive than most Spokane homes.

There are many rural poor communities in WW. Not sure you need a job, schools, grocery....

We need more details.

the cheapest area in the Seattle area would be down south around bonney lake, Puyallup, Spanaway, graham. I don't know how they compare with Spokane.
